After graduating from Edinburgh University with a Masters in Geography, I decided to avoid getting caught up in the rat race and set off to walk from London to Istanbul on a whim. 5,000 kilometres, 2 pairs of shoes and a fractured leg later I crossed the river Bosporus into Asia.
